Arma 2 Operation Arrowhead was officially announced August 13 2009. During the announcement it was announced on the main plot and gameplay features of the game but the release date has not been named. 3 4 Executive Director Marek Shpanel Bohemia Interactive (the Czech. Marek Španěl) during the announcement said that the company has enough time and effort to support a «Arma 2" and the development of add-on. In addition the developers have announced their intention to introduce the game in the international exhibition GamesCom 2009. 5
March 16 2010 IDEA Games and Bohemia Interactive have presented the first video from «Arma 2 Operation Arrowhead». This video showed the actual gameplay of the game on it were shown the battle in the mountain and desert terrain using various weapons and technology. 6
April 22 2010 was announced release date - June 29 2010. Together with this message have been published some additions and improvements to gameplay setting and plot of the game compared to the original. 7 8 9
April 26 2010 in the official press release it was announced that a Canadian publisher of computer games company Meridian4 acquired the rights to publish «Arma 2 Operation Arrowhead» in North America. It is also planned to publish a collection of Meridian4 «Arma 2 Combined Operations» which will include the original «Arma 2" and the addon «Arma 2 Operation Arrowhead». Released addon and collection in North America remained unchanged - June 29 10.
