Review: Spec Ops The Line Game is a computer game in the genre of third-person shooter developed by German studio Yager Development and published by 2K Games for Microsoft Windows PlayStation 3 and Xbox 360 in 2012. The 2013 version of the game has been released for OS X. This is the eleventh game in the series Spec Ops and the first published in the series for many years after the Spec Ops Airborne Commando (2002).

The Spec Ops The Line Game takes place in the city of Dubai in the United Arab Emirates turned into a disaster area after a series of large-scale sandstorms. The main characters soldiers of Special Forces "Delta" are at the forefront of the conflict involving the rebel infantry battalion of the US Army. The main single-player mode holds the player through a series of tasks in the streets and buildings of Dubai; game studio Darkside Game Studios is also an online multiplayer mode was developed offering the teams of players fight against each other.

The Spec Ops The Line Game was praised by critics. Observers noted especially remarkable story containing controversial topics and unusual narrative techniques and some plot points became objects of controversy in the press. On the contrary the gameplay and especially the multiplayer mode received negative reviews. The game was awarded several awards including "Best Screenplay" by Inside Gaming 1 and "Best Story in the game PC" from IGN 2.
